NEET
NTA administers the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to various undergraduate medical courses in India. NEET is India’s sole MBBS entrance exam. After the 12th grade, it is the largest and most important medical entrance exam. NEET is also the sole entrance exam for any medical course in India. Since 2021, NEET scores have also been used for BSc Nursing admission.

NEET is a paper-pencil-based (PBT) or offline test that lasts 200 minutes, or three hours and 20 minutes. The exam consists of three subjects:
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Each subject is further divided into two sections, Section A (35 questions) and Section B (15 questions). Section B requires candidates to answer 10 of 15 questions. Each question is worth four points, and each incorrect answer is worth one point.

NEET has a total score of 720.

The exam is given in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Odia, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Urdu.

NEET PG

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) administers the NEET PG National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Post-Graduation for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma/DNB post-MBBS courses in India. After the MBBS, it is one of the most popular entrance exams. For admission to these courses, NEET PG scores are widely accepted. For 3.5 hours, the exam is administered via computer-based testing (CBT). There are 200 multiple-choice (MCQ) questions. Each correct answer is worth four points, while each incorrect answer is worth one point. The exam is divided into three sections, each with a different number of questions. The language of the questions is English.

NEET MDS

National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Examination for MDS Courses, or NEET MDS, is another exam administered by NBE. NEET MDS is a once-a-year examination for admission to postgraduate dental courses in India. It is the second most important medical exam after the MBBS. NEET MDS is a three-hour computer-based exam with 240 multiple-choice questions. Each question is worth four points, and each incorrect answer is worth one point.

INI CET

AIIMS, Delhi, administers the INI CET for admission to postgraduate courses. The exam scores are also used for admission to the six-year DM/MCh courses offered at AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, and NIMHANS, in addition to MD/MS courses. The same entrance exam is used for admission to the MDS courses at this institute. AIIMS PG exams are held twice a year, in January and July. After NEET PG and NEET MDS, INI CET is one of the top postgraduate medical entrance exams in India.

FMGE

Foreign Medical Graduate Examination, also known as FMGE is administered by NBE. FMGE is a licensing examination for those who want to practice medicine in India but have completed their primary medical education outside of the country. FMGE is administered twice a year. It should be noted that passing this exam does not result in admissions, but rather in a practicing license.

This exam is only available online. FMGE is performed for 300 minutes. The exam will consist of 300 questions, each worth one mark. The exam has no negative marking scheme. The exam will be divided into two sections of 2.5 hours each.

AIAPGET

NTA holds an annual All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test, or AIAPGET. AIAPGET is an entrance examination for postgraduate AYUSH courses in India. Candidates who pass the AIAPGET exam will be admitted to MS, MD, or PG diploma programs in any of the following AYUSH disciplines: Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. It is yet another top medical entrance exam in India for candidates interested in Ayurveda or alternative medicine.
AIAPGET is a two-hour computer-based examination (CBT). The exam will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions worth a total of 480 points. The exam will be administered in two shifts. Each question is worth four points, with one mark deducted for incorrect answers.

NEET SS
NBE administers the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Super Speciality Courses), or NEET SS, for admission to various DM/MCh courses. All private medical colleges/universities, deemed universities, and Armed Forces medical services institutions accept NEET SS scores. The following institutions, however, do not accept NEET SS scores and instead hold a separate entrance test for admission to their super-speciality courses: AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER, NIMHANS, and SCTIMST. NEET SS is a medical entrance exam taken after completing a postgraduate course for super specialisation.

NEET SS is a 3.5-hour computer-based exam administered once a year. The medium or language of the question paper is English only. There are 100 questions total, each worth four points. There is a one-point deduction for each incorrect answer.
